Intuitive Indigo

This course offers a complete introduction to working with a fructose indigo vat, combining clear technical guidance with a more intuitive, embodied approach to natural dyeing. You’ll learn how to prepare and maintain the vat, understand its chemistry, and confidently read and adjust it as you work. Alongside this, we explore a slower, more relational way of engaging with indigo as a plant, developing sensitivity through observation, rhythm and practice.
